Murray’s Initiative at Glasgow Libraries
Murray’s Initiative provides alcohol support and aims to reduce harm and empower individuals to live healthier, more fulfilled lives. They will be offering free, confidential screenings in libraries offering practical, non-judgemental advice on reducing alcohol or stopping altogether. They can also signpost to advice and support.

Drop in sessions - Citizens Advice Bureau
Home-Start Early Years Hub has partnered with the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) to provide dedicated support for families with children under 5.
What’s happening?
CAB appointments will be available every Thursday morning - these sessions are by appointment only and tailored to families with young children.
Drop-in support available - Advisor Heather from CAB also sets aside time for families who need immediate assistance.

Parent Network Scotland is hosting free wellbeing sessions for families which will take place at the Home Start Hub Wednesdays from 10.30am-12noon. These sessions are open to all.
The Hub is located at the Maryhill Community Centre (35 Avenuepark Street, G20 8TS).

Dads Rock Antenatal Workshops
Workshops run monthly at the Home Start Hub in Maryhill. These workshops are there to support Dads-to-be. They cover a wide range of practical skills as well as having room for discussion and questions about being a Dad.
Sessions at the Maryhill hub take place once a month in the annex at the Hub from 7-9pm -the next session in Glasgow will be 24 February 2026. Spaces are limited - book your space online.

Self-care is a phrase most of us will have come across, but what does it actually mean and look like? The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Mental Health Improvement Team have put together tips and resources to help everyone take time to care for themselves:
A new Adult Disability Activity Day will run Fridays (weekly) at Glasgow Club Springburn.
Sessions will be charged at £4.75 each, or free with ActivClub and FitClub memberships. Concessionary discounts are also available.
Activities include:
• Multi sport: 10.00am – 11.00am
• Circuits: 11.15am – 12.00pm
• Supported gym session: 12.30pm – 1.15pm
• Boccia: 1.15pm – 2.00pm

Lifelink - Wellbeing Classes
Each 90-minute class is delivered via video by Lifelink facilitators. They cover life skills aimed at supporting a fulfilling and productive life. Participants can attend as many classes as they like, and they are open to everyone with a Glasgow postcode.

Glasgow Life are delivering Additional Support Needs play sessions across the city. These sessions are perfect for children and families looking for a fun and safe way to be more active.
Sessions are £2.50 per child.
