What is Community Regeneration?
Put simply, regeneration is putting steps in place to help a community, and its members, meet and contend with any of the challenges the community may face.
ng homes strategy is based on the three pillars of regeneration: social, economic and physical. These three pillars support a virtuous cycle of community regeneration that delivers local action to tackle inequality, create opportunities and improve our local community and area.
Our Regeneration Strategy is aligned with National, and Local Government Housing and Regeneration objectives. Our 3 Strategic themes of Physical, Economic and Social regeneration is designed to improve housing quality and tenure, social isolation, community cohesion and capacity building, fuel poverty, recycling, employability, health, education and sporting participation. Our strategy is rooted in and will be developed upon the success of existing regeneration initiatives designed to improve the lives of our tenants, residents, local people and help to support the most vulnerable and marginalised members of our community.
