Social Security Scotland's Pension Age Disability Payment is replacing Attendance Allowance for people in Scotland.
Pension Age Disability Payment will support people of state pension age and over who have a disability or long-term health condition.
If you, or someone you know, already receive Attendance Allowance, you won't need to apply for Pension Age Disability Payment as the award will be automatically transferred from the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions).
You can apply for Pension Age Disability Payment if you are of State Pension age and:
• are disabled or have a long-term health condition;
• need help looking after yourself or supervision to keep you safe; or
• are terminally ill.
